We will knit the Earflap Hat on a Brother KH400 knitting machine (analog of Brother KH395) with a 9 mm needle pitch. For demonstration, I’ll use Light Baby Sport acrylic yarn, lilac color — the same one we used during the class. The yarn weight is 10.5 oz (≈ 300 g), with approximately 1077 yards / 984 meters per skein. This yarn is easy to find in stores.
